How do you travel when you can't travel? Adapt. And SAVOUR.
Welcome to the next post in a series that will shine a spotlight on phenomenal women who are making it happen in their lives, at home and in their careers.
Each of these women will inspire you to stand out by building confidence from the inside out. It’s time to raise your hand and say yes, to all those things you want to do, be and say without compromising your standards - or sanity. It’s time to stop hiding and have a life that feels as good on the inside as it looks on the outside. It’s time to stop hiding and become the woman you know you are.

Wendy Guth is a success coach for midlife women who feel stuck in their life, career and relationships. After 20 years in corporate event planning, she launched her own travel agency to remind women of their strength, resilience, curiosity and passion through travel and then in 2020, became certified as a success coach to help midlife women discover themselves and how to create the life they want under their own power and their own terms.
What does a certified transformational coach & travel advisor do when she can’t travel?
Adapt. And Savour.
One of the greatest takeaways from travel is building curiosity, passion, and strength, along with flexibility, tenacity and resiliency. To connect us with our surroundings. To build lasting memories from our experiences. To SAVOUR the moments on our journey.
We can do this whether inside our home, at a local park, or on a sailboat in Bali.
During the pandemic, I took the travel system that I’ve used for my clients to create their transformational experiences and adapted it to our everyday lives.
SAVOUR is:
S – Step out of your comfort zone
A – Align your passions and interests
V – Venture under your own power
O – Open yourself to connecting
U – Unwind with self-care
R – Ritualize your gratitude

I love that it is possible to incorporate photography into savouring. It enhances the experience by:
-
Requiring a greater depth of focused attention, of being present in your surroundings.
-
Being mindful of beauty, meaning or value that surrounds you.
-
Focusing on the unique and positive in your daily life that you otherwise might not see.
I would like to share a Positive Psychology exercise, Using Photography to Increase Savouring. Research has shown that taking photographs in a mindful, creative way can put you in a better mood and more appreciative and motivated. See the positive aspects of your daily lives in a playful way in just a few minutes a day.
