A Princess Session is a fun day for little girls to play dress up. (Moms, I have beautiful gowns for you too – why don’t you join her?) I have a variety of skirts, dresses, crowns, headpieces to choose from. It’s a time to play and have fun. Princess  Sessions will be cherished forever and passed down to their children and grandchildren. It is a piece of art that is custom and that no other girl will have.

Princess Sessions are perfect for any age over 2! It’s not only fun for little girls, but also for tweens, teens and even moms! Just for fun or to celebrate any special event- starting school, a special birthday- really any time is great!

You don’t have to bring anything or you can bring everything! I have a variety of skirts and dresses. It’s always nice to incorporate something personal that has special meaning at this time in her life. Maybe something that has been passed down from great grandma, like a pair of old gloves, hat, a vintage scarf. We often photograph in bare feet, so it’s up to you if you want to bring shoes.

For hair, soft curls look wonderful and maybe a little lip gloss so she can feel pampered. If you choose to have nail polish, be sure it is light and not chipped. Please be aware that tan lines and sun burn are very difficult to photoshop into natural skin tones.

Sometimes it is best if mom or dad are not watching. Children are always looking for approval from their parents and easily can be distracted, trying to “perform” the way they think their parents want them to be in a photo. (For instance, I will not have them “smile big for the camera” in every photo. Also, as a mom myself, it was sometimes so hard not to “help” which can be frustrating for the child because they don’t know who to listen to.)
