Welcome to a new feature of brenPhotography’s Clickin with Brenda blog– Local Business Spotlight. This regular feature will highlight local businesses telling you what services they offer and as well as a little insight into the personalities behind them. I love meeting these business owners and learning more about them while photographing them for updated headshots, family, or glamour portraits.
Today, Laura Templeton of Stream is the focus. Laura needed an updated Business Portrait for her expanding career and like most had found a reason to put it off. One thing that Laura wished that she had learned was Sign Language, something that I have wanted to learn also. To me, the ability to communicate with everyone is so important.
Here are Laura's new headshots. Learn more about her and visit her website HERE:
Business name: Laura Templeton
Address: Bucks County, PA
Phone number: 215.801.6750
Web: lauratempleton.mystream.com
Tell me a little about your business: As a Senior Director for Stream I help people save on life essential home services they already have and mentor people and organization desiring to create dependable residual income.
What is your business best known for? Helping people save money on electricity for their homes and businesses.
How & when did you get started? My neighbor, owner of Hopewell Tennis Club, introduced me to Stream on the trunk of his car.
What is something interesting about your business that your customers might not know? We have a referral program that can save you 25, 50, even 100% on the generation portion of your energy bill for both electricity and natural gas.
Advice I wish I had 5 years ago: Don’t waste time learning before you talk to people, jump in and if you don’t know the answer call someone who does.
On my day off I love to: Spend time with my family
I can’t start my day until: Read my Bible
You’ll never see me without: My phone (according to my kids, and they are the reason I never leave home without it and if I do I turn around.)
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Wedding planner!
What is the one thing you wish you knew how to do? Sign language
What is the first job you ever had? Babysitting
Why did you need a headshot? I wanted a professional photo instead of a selfie for my social media and my bio. I recently began writing for PWBN About Her Magazine and realized my photo, not only being a few years old is also one from a photo someone took of me with their phone.
How did you feel about your Business Portrait experience with brenPhotography? AMAZING!! Brenda and her stylist, Annie made me feel totally at ease and comfortable. I loved having a stylist on hand to add just to make me feel like I was ready for pictures and Brenda explained exactly what she needed me to do and how it would enhance my photo. She helped me select my photos from the many great shots she took and did an amazing job with the finished photos. I love them!! Can’t wait to do it again!! I think this should be a once a year event!
Look at your headshot as a potential client. Does it need to be updated? Call me to get it done! 215.208.5803
