This past Saturday I had the privilege of creating photographs for the children and their families at the annual Holiday Party at Gilda’s Club Delaware Valley.* How excited they were to see the big guy!
Close to 100 children, whose lives have been affected by cancer (mostly through a parent’s diagnosis), visited with Santa and Hanukkah Harry, decorated gingerbread men and made holiday crafts.
Age and gender appropriate gifts were donated by Stroehmann. Cancer Treatment Centers of America sent a team to cook breakfast.
Best of all the snow didn’t arrive until the party was over!
Check out what Gilda's is all about and volunteer!
*Gilda’s Club Delaware Valley provides a safe and supportive environment that is dedicated to providing support, education and hope to people affected by cancer. We have programs for men, women and children along with their families and friends and everything we offer is completely free. Our program is an essential complement to medical care providing support and networking groups, social activities and educational workshops and lectures.
